Systemline, makers of high performance multi room AV products, and lighting specialist Rako Controls have announced a new control partnership with the release of new software integration between a Rako Bridge and Systemline S7, the company’s Hi-Res music compatible multi-room music system.
The new update delivers a combined lighting and audio solution without the need for a dedicated control system.
The new software update allows installers to easily set up a Rako control keypad to select music and radio functions on an S7 multi room audio system, such as choose a favourite radio or playlist, play, pause and skip as well as volume and standby. The update can be applied to Rako software over the internet, which then shows S7 as a pre-defined audio device containing functions that can be added to Rako keypad button presses. A Rako bridge with ACM licence is required for this integration.
A two zone S7 system has been fitted at Rako’s head office in Kent for training purposes, showing the integrated lighting and audio control.
Paul Wafer, managing director at Rako, comments, “Rako and Systemline are two well established British manufacturers that are now working together to achieve great things for both our customer bases. The simple S7 protocol was very easy for our software team to add as a pre-defined audio system which is perfect for the required functionality on our keypads.
“Rako installers can now integrate lighting and audio in a matter of minutes without the need for a dedicated control system. Home owners will be able to walk into a room, select a lighting scene and their favourite radio from one smart keypad using a new lighting and audio button set. We are delighted with the end result and the ease at which this can be achieved.”
Paul Hilditch, Systemline brand manager, adds, “This new solution is a real step change and eliminates the need to manually enter commands. We believe it will be extremely appealing to installers and their end customers.”
