Kim Kardashian And Kanye West want to watch films like the rest of us.
Problem: camera crews and paparazzi document the couple’s every move.
Luckily for them, Prima Cinema has produced a solution allowing them to watch movies opening in theatres in their luxury £13m home in California.
Kimye recently had the Prima Cinema system installed, footing the initial hardware cost of £23,000, then paying £324 per rental for a 24-hour period.
If little North nods off mid-film and they want to re-watch the movie again, that’s another £324. Your local video store doesn’t look so bad now, huh?
After signing up to the service, users have to purchase 10 films upfront, totalling Mr and Mrs West’s bill at £25,956.
As one would hope for that price tag, Prima Cinema strives to bring films to its members via a fingerprint reader as they are released to the general public.
However, Prima’s small print states that the initial availability of some films may sometimes be delayed due to technical, licensing, creative reasons – or other reasons outside of its control.
It is worth noting that films reside on the user’s Prima Cinema Movie Player during the theatrical release windows, which can vary from film to film.
The Wests aren’t the only celebrities investing in the technology, with Mila Kunis, Ashton Kutcher and Ellen DeGeneres also investing in Prima Cinema technology.
“Before Prima Cinema, only invited Hollywood insiders were able to view theatrically released films at home,” says Prima Cinema.
“No longer. Prima Cinema is the first premium entertainment company that delivers Hollywood films directly to your private home theatre.”

How Does Prima Cinema Work?
Prima Cinema is only intended for private, residential, non-commercial use and must be installed by a Prima Cinema authorised dealer into a professionally-installed home theatre which meets Hollywood Studio and Prima Cinema specified standards – in other words, it can’t be transported to another person’s house.
