New from Cable Jog is the AVJoG Network Cable Tester, a two-box solution for testing AV panel installations.

Each box is only 150mm square and has been designed with ease of use in mind with its one-button operation.

Boasting an LCD display for test results, the product has been designed in such a way that there is no need for extra adaptors.

For panel test mode, connect both units with appropriate patch cables. Then the user should press the test button.

The local end will identify the type of connection and if there are any open or short circuits.

For cables, plug both ends of the cable under test into the local unit. The local end will identify the type of connection and if there are any open or short circuits.

Key features include a 2 x 16 character LCD display, its ability to detect open and short circuits, as well as continuity and short circuits less than 75K ohms and open circuits (end to end and between connected pins), greater than 75K ohms. The manufacturer states that there is less than a one second test time.
