MVS Audio Visual recently completed a project for Trainline’s new offices in central London, which saw the team install Polycom Realpresence Trio 8800 conference phones into every meeting room.

MVS recently completed an extensive AV project for online train ticket purchasing company, Trainline, for its Fenchurch, London office. MVS worked alongside REALYS to deliver the AV requirements for Trainline at its new offices, having already worked together across various projects in the UK and were approached to assist with the design and integration of AV systems across two floors of office space, working with the client to finalise the specification.

Trainline’s new offices are spread across two floors, with each floor containing a mixture of meeting rooms, display screens, including a large presentation area with audio and HDMI distribution.

The install team chose Polycom Group Series video conference solutions for the lager meeting rooms/boardrooms, while Polycom’s newest desk phone; the Trio 8800 were installed into each meeting room in the building.

The office spaces were kitted out with 55 large format screens; connectivity in these rooms is via HDMI within the desks or via the floors linked to LG displays. LG TVs were chosen based on cost and performance with the ability to display 4K content. The client made the decision to purchase consumer TVs as opposed to commercial screens for this project.

Polycom video conferencing was utilised to enhance Trainline’s video calls and distance meetings, whilst also reducing costs and improving efficiency. Polycom was also deployed across the meeting spaces to conform to the company’s Unified Communications policy.

In addition to the Group Series video conferencing, the Polycom RealPresence Trio 8800 desk phones were implemented to aid Trainline’s teleconferencing functions.

The client had a heavy involvement in the spec and MVS were on hand prior to commencing work on site to ensure any additions or changes were technically approved; if not MVS would advise and make recommendations to the client to avoid losing functionality on the system.

“The only technical challenges that came up were if the client made changes,” Alistair adds. “MVS needed to understand what the changes were in order to technically assess the revisions. Functionality requirements from the client is our sole focus and understanding those needs helps us deliver a first class project for our client – with no surprises.
