CIE-Group has entered into a partnership with the HDBaseT Alliance to offer free accredited training courses for integrators and installers in the UK.

CIE-Group already offers a whole range of training programmes throughout the year, both through its support of HowtoAV and physical training sessions. Its latest training session will be jointly delivered by the CIE-Group and HDBaseT Alliance.

The company has already revealed the first dates and locations of the HDBaseT Installer Expert Program training, without more set to follow throughout the year.

Initially training sessions will take place in London, Leeds and Nottingham during the month of April 2016.

The HDBaseT Installer Expert Program was launched by the Alliance in 2014 and almost 2000 delegates throughout the world have completed the course.  Almost 4,000 AV installers have registered at the Alliance’s Installer Zone.

The courses cover HDBaseT technology principles, installation advice and best practices, product certification and interoperability, and include hands-on tutorial and comprehensive demonstrations.

Chris Edwards of CIE-Group says the company will apply its expertise in running training courses and promises delegates a “really useful introduction” to all things HDBaseT: “Experience has taught us that these days when people take time out of their working week to come along to a training course it needs to deliver quality and value.

“What I can say is that the HDBaseT Expert Program is the best course of its type out there. We’re planning to roll-out these courses across the year and I’d urge people to sign up as soon as possible to secure their free place.”

Micha Risling, chair of the HDBaseT Alliance’s marketing committee added: “CIE-Group has already established itself as one of the leading HDBaseT training providers in the UK and we’re delighted to be partnering with them. The Expert Program is the perfect introduction to HDBaseT and anyone attending is going to learn a great deal that is useful out in the field.”

These free academies will provide all the core knowledge required to confidently specify and install both commercial and residential multi-room AV systems using standard HDMI and the latest HDBaseT 5Play converged signal technologies.

Attendees will receive the HDBaseT Expert Certificate and are also eligible to receive Infocomm Renewal Unit (RU) credits.
