The Multi-Format Processor (EXT-MFP) from Gefen is a simple to use, single box solution providing ample source switching, format conversion with automatic scaling and independent digital and analogue audio routing with comprehensive mobile control options.
According to the manufacturer, it is ideal for any installation supporting a mix of digital and analogue audio/video sources and two high definition DVI and HDMI displays or projectors.
It is compact and ready for use in conference rooms, classrooms, auditoriums and command/control centres.
The Multi-Format Processor supports today’s most popular video formats, including HDMI, DVI, DisplayPort, VGA and composite video, reportedly making integrating computers, cameras and video sources of all kinds simple and intuitive.
Digital (optical and coaxial) and analogue audio inputs can be routed independently and associated with any video input.
Selected sources are output as HDMI and DVI with stereo audio, supporting HDCP and high definition resolutions up to 1080p full HD and 1920×1200 (WUXGA).
An internal scaling engine ensures video content is converted and set to the correct resolution for the connected display.
When used with Gefen’s Syner-G software, set-up can be simplified using the Discovery, Show-Me and IP configuration options.
The Multi-Format Processor’s web server interface further simplifies configuration due to features such as advanced EDID management.
Customisation options include assignable names for each input, password-protected access and different levels of access and control permissions for end-users and administrators.
Control options include an intuitive graphical web interface accessible from any computer, tablet and smartphone, or via Telnet, UDP, RS-232, IR remote or front panel controls.
